In this workshop, Particle perfumers, London & Alicia, will guide you through the foundational concepts of modern perfumery. Together, you'll explore how perfumes are structured and formulated, the difference between natural and synthetic materials, essential lab tools, safety practices, and blending techniques used by professional working perfumers.

In this module, you’ll explore the gourmand and spicy scent profiles, a rich and comforting palette of materials often found in beloved modern perfumes. Expect to encounter notes like warm vanilla bean, cacao, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, coffee, tea, saffron, pistachio, and other decadent ingredients that bring warmth, depth, and texture to a composition. While materials from other scent families will be available to support your blend, the focus will remain on the warmth and complexity of gourmand and spice accords.
